What we collect

TrackMyBus collects your home address, the approximate time the bus arrives each morning, and your email address for account purposes. We also record which parents are on the same route so ETA updates can be shared between them.

Your privacy matters to us

We do not share your data or your student's data with anyone outside your bus route. Your bus route is made up of other parents whose students ride the same bus. Those parents can see your student's first name and your street address — just enough so they know where the bus is in town. Nothing more is shared.

How your data is used

Your tap data is used in two ways: to give other parents on your route a live ETA update when you tap, and to power the app's AI engine — which uses aggregated, anonymized timing patterns to improve arrival predictions over time.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties outside of what is needed to run the app (Firebase for storage, Google for authentication).

Your address

Your home address is shared only with parents on your same bus route who have also agreed to share theirs. It is never visible to anyone outside your route group.
